The new Rhine Castle has a prominent position at the entrance to the city of Waldshut directly above the river Rhine. The building will become a new landmark for Waldshut on the basis of its exposed location. Part of the required area is carefully arranged along the scenic hillside in order to integrate the utmost elegant and slim residential tower into the city silhouette.
A striking tall building marks the transition between the landscape bordering the south and the Train Station suburb in the north. A beautifully designed nature trail meandering through the rich trees leads the visitor of the Rhine Castle down to the waterfront promenade. The open spaces of the Rhine Castle enter into the sustained tree bosque.
The future inhabitants can determine the size of their apartments by merging neighboring units, thus offering a high rate of flexibility. The disparate external shape of the building ensures that no floor or apartment have the same floor layout. The range of possible apartment types varies from 2-room apartments to a spacious penthouse. Bearing walls and integrated partitions are kept to a small number within the interior areas.
