The competition site for this integrated nursing home / day-care centre is an integral part of the urban development for New Town Center the town of Rheinstetten. The new building is located at the eastern entrance to the development and is required to serve as a noise barrier protecting the residential area beyond. The design proposal foresees the new building, combining a nursing home with day-care facilities and sheltered senior citizen housing, bridging the access road to provide a distinctive gateway.
