haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 has been awarded 1st prize in an international architectural competition for the new headquarters for Enercity, Hannover’s public utility company. The new building is to be located on the Glocksee. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2021. The new building is to provide workspace for 550 employees, with planned investments costs of €90 million. A combination of sustainability, energy efficiency and a new, inviting corporate culture are to define new the headquarters.Upon revealing the winning designs to the public City Planning Officer Uwe Bodemann and Enercity Managing Director Karl-Uwe Weltz declared "We are thrilled with the winning design and will implement it."
