We are pleased to have won the 1st prize in the design study "Redensification in timber construction using the example of Neues Stöckach" with our design, which is based on 3 criteria:
Maximum preservation of existing buildings and use of secondary building materials.
Innovations that are easy to reproduce
Durability through passive measures and minimised building technology
It is nice to see that our guiding idea 'A regionally determined building method that uses what already exists and only borrows from nature what it still needs. Careful to give everything back, but robust enough and beautiful enough to last. - The new Stöckach' was awarded with a prize.

The contribution of the architectural firm haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 in collaboration with Rubner Holzbau, knp.Bauphysik, Transsolar and C4 Engineers convinced the jury. The design is based to a large extent on the following criteria: maximum preservation of existing buildings, use of secondary building materials, easily reproducible innovations, durability of the construction and minimal building services. The award-winning work was selected by the jury in particular for its overarching design concept, its treatment of the existing building and its great robustness.
