Opening ceremony in Hanover

19 September 2023

The new corporate headquarter for enercity was ceremoniously opened on September 7th, 2023 with over 500 invited guests from politics and business. Sustainability, modern working environments and the company's path to climate neutrality are reflected in the new corporate headquarters of the energy service provider. The 20,000 square metre building, the largest passive house in northern Germany, was constructed in only two and a half years and is considered a lighthouse project for the state capital of Hanover.

Thank you for the words of praise and the beautiful celebration.

"Today is a special day in the history of our company. The new corporate headquarters is an architectural highlight that enriches the city and a place where ideas are born, knowledge is shared and the energy transition is shaped. From the very beginning, our goal was to create a place that forms the basis for creative synergies and inspires our employees to give their best for our customers. In addition, the ecological footprint of the building sets standards and can be a model for many other construction projects in the German economy," explains enercity CEO Dr Susanna Zapreva.

Lower Saxony's Minister of Economics Olaf Lies emphasises: "With the new headquarters, enercity has also created a place that structurally provides answers to many very central questions of our time: How will we work together in the future? How do we manage the heat and energy turnaround? How do we integrate the latest digital, networked solutions to answer these questions? A showpiece has been created here that also meets the demands of enercity as one of the most innovative energy suppliers in the country. I would like to congratulate enercity and especially Susanna Zapreva on this. We need companies like enercity when it comes to achieving the heat and energy turnaround.
