On April 7th, 2022, the 1st Bad Aiblinger Baukultur Days will take place, organized by the Federal Foundation of Baukultur, the Technical University of Munich and the B&O Group. Martin Haas is one of the speakers with his impulse "Opportunities and challenges in multi-storey buildings with rammed earth". We look forward to exciting discussions and lectures to advance the future of building simple.
The attempt to deal with the enormous greenhouse gas emissions caused by the construction industry by means of technical innovations has proven to be unpromising. Rather, a reorientation in the opposite direction seems necessary: instead of increasing the complexity of buildings, a return to simple solutions seems necessary.
"Building simple - traditional techniques and new rules"
The keynote speeches by the speakers, who deal with the natural building materials rammed earth, wood and natural stone in their work, show the possibilities of these traditional materials for building in the future. A specialist excursion to the three research houses and the wooden car park on the premises of the B&O Group rounds off the day of the event. In the conviction that the return to traditional building methods requires changed regulatory framework conditions, the following morning is dedicated to an internal, non-public technical discussion on due amendments.
