i/ZWO Enercity at Glocksee

January 2018, Hannover, Germany

haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 was awarded 1st prize in an international architectural competition for the new headquarters at Glocksee of Hanover’s municipal utility company Enercity. Completion of construction is scheduled for 2021 with planned investments costs of €90 million. 550 employees will be working at the new energy efficient building with sustainable design and new, inviting corporate culture. City Planning Officer Uwe Bodemann and Enercity Managing Director Karl-Uwe Weltz presented the design together with Stephan Zemmrich and Martin Haas.

Exchange with the ILGBC and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Jerusalem

Martin Haas has been invited to Israel to collaborate with experts and decision makers in the field of sustainable planning through meetings and various presentations. The conference is organized by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Jerusalem in partnership with the Israel Green Building Council (ILGBC). The main goal of the ILGBC is to incorporate green building and sustainable urban planning principles in the mainstream building practices in Israel.

ArchiCup 2017

For the first time the team of haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 reached the quarter-finals at the annual soccer tournament for architectural offices in Stuttgart. An undefeated group leader, our team lost the ArchiCup to the winner, WHP Architekten.

Topping Out Ceremony at Alnatura Campus

27 June 2017, Darmstadt, Germany

Alnatura celebrated a Topping Out Ceremony with 100 guests for its world wide largest office building made out of rammed clay. The Topping Out Ceremony is a traditional ceremony held after installing the last beam atop a building during construction. Lord Mayor Jochen Partsch, guests from politics and business partners participated in the ceremony.

Foundation Stone Ceremony Kindergarten

At the Alnatura Campus haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 is building a privately funded public kindergarten. The foundation stone was laid on Wednesday, March 1st. Professor Götz Rehn, Mayor Jochen Partsch and the Head of Social Services for the city, Mrs Barbara Akdeniz participated in the ceremony. The single storey round building with a central courtyard and a footprint of approximately 1,000 sq m is scheduled to open by the end of 2018.

Latvian Architectural Awards 2017

Following being shortlisted for the annual national architectural award for the „The Walfisch“ haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 has received a commendation in the form of the Silver Certificate.
"The Walfisch" was nominated in the category Landscape Architecture.

"The Walfisch" Lielais Laukums, Ventspils, Latvia has recently been awarded a Golden A’Award in the Landscape Planning Category. As the world’s largest design competition the A’Awards are intended to highlight, advertise and advocate good design.

Construction works have now commenced on the Ventspils Regional Music School with Concert Hall. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2019.

New office branch In Shanghai, China

haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 is pleased to announce the recent opening of our new branch office in Shanghai, China.

The office is located in the former French Concession, close to the The Bund. Famous for its European flair with cafes, restaurants, quiet tree-lined streets this area has served as the premier residential and retail district of Shanghai for much of the last century.

The office is headed by Mr. Hanxiou Liu who has been working with haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 since the founding of the office in 2012.
